A few years ago I was reading one of the “Non-Biblical Readings” for the Season of Advent in my Breviary, and this writing really struck me. It was written by St. Irenaeus, a Second Century bishop in his book, “Against Heresies.” Well, the writing inspired me to discuss it with our 5th Graders in our public school religion class.
